My name is Lauren, and I’m so freaking passionate about teaching food bloggers and photographers how to sky-rocket their food photography!
How did I get here?
Well, if you’re wondering about that “grüezi” at the top… I live in Switzerland. I’m British but I’ve lived abroad for the last three years. When I moved here, I was working in a tax-related corporate job, which I enjoyed, but it wasn’t my passion, and the thought of carrying on in that career for the next 40 years was… less than inspiring.
Since I was young, I always knew I wanted to do something food or cooking related, so I started my food blog , and it quickly grew enough for me to quit my corporate job.
Along the way, I had found this passion for food photography (which was totally surprising to me, as I’d never picked up a DSLR before) and I was obsessed with learning everything I could about the technical side of photography, and as a result, my work kept improving and I started to get hired for freelance work.
So, what happened next?
Well, as my blog and business grew, I started to get contacted by people asking me how I take my photography, what equipment I use, what editing software I use… the list goes on. And I LOVED answering those questions.
I thought about adding a food photography section to my food blog, but as I kept brainstorming everything I wanted to include, it was just too much. It needed it’s own home.
So That’s Sage was born.
This is more than just a quick “Food Photography Tips” section attached to a food blog. This is three years of experience from a professional food photographer, laid out for you to learn from.
I’m holding nothing back, no secrets, no half-baked advice. I’m fiercly passionate about showing you that the technical side of photography is necessary, and NOT scary.
I’m not going to lie to you and give you shortcut “quick fixes” that won’t help you in the long run. You’re going to learn how to do things PROPERLY, and that is what will allow you to let your creativity run free and will make you stand out from the crowd.
That’s Sage is a community of food bloggers, all on the same journey as you, to grow their blog or business, or just improve your food photography and become the best photographer you can be!
